Sober Living: The Only Way To Live In Sober Homes

Is There Life Beyond Sober Living
Sober living does not mean you stop living life to the fullest. Think about it when you were drinking or doing drugs all the time how much living were you actually remembering? Most people who abused drugs or alcohol blacked out or only remember chunks of conversations or the entire night. They usually didn’t get out of bed the next day until one or two in the afternoon and when they did get out of bed they laid around only day until it was socially acceptable to crack open a beer and start the circle all over again.

Sober Homes Consist Of Recovering Addicts Just Like Yout
One of the benefits to entering any one of Sober Pacific’s sober homes is to be surrounded by recovering addicts who are facing the same day to day struggles of living life addiction free. When someone has a bad day at work they can come home and crack open a beer or go to a bar and blow off some steam with their buddies by having a few jack and cokes. For an addict a few jack and cokes will push them right back into abusive alcoholic behavior.

A Vicodin Addiction Is A Real Addiction
Some people laugh at the idea of being addicted to pain pills. If you have an addictive personality and you take vicodin you really need to watch and make sure you don’t develop a vicodin addiction. The thing with vicodin it’s prescribed to make pain manageable. It’s so strong and so affective that while removing immediate serious pain it also removes pain you didn’t even know you had. When it wears off that pain can come back tenfold and feel like you were just run over by a truck. Hence the reason people continue to take it sometimes after the extreme pain is gone.
