Sober Homes: Finding Recovery For Women In Need

Can I Drink And Still Be Sober?
If you’ve entered a rehab facility and gotten help for your addiction problem then no, you cannot drink and be sober. Sobriety means never touching another drink again. It’s normal for some addicts to exit rehab and thinking after some time has passed that they can starting drinking again without abusing alcohol. Unfortunately, that’s not the case if you were a true addict. You may be able to fool people for awhile into thinking you’ve got it under control but eventually you’ll go back to your old ways.

Is It Wrong To Consider Sober Homes Post Rehab?
If you do not feel you’re ready to go back to life as usual after rehab than you should consider sober homes. Sober homes are a great place for recovering addicts to live as they slowly step back into the real world. Depending on what your situation was entering rehab, you may not have a home to go back to. You may need a place to stay and starting over right after exiting rehab can put you right back into rehab. So, find a sober house to live.
